Intergration of sw to pdm

We are currently intergrating Solidworks to our pdm system. We use Productcenter by Soft Tech.


The problems that we have seen are caused by the Tool Box browser that is employed by Solid Works. We would like to use tool box for our library parts and have made some progress in doing so.


My question is: Has anyone encoutered similar problems with the use of a PDM system dealing with solidworks specifically the tool box browser and if so what was the solution that you used to eleviate the storage problems?

We are doing the same, are currently creating a tool box from solidworks and were using pdmworks.

The SolidWorks PDM tutorial actually recommends not to enter your toolbox into the vault.

This is also the way we are currently running - our Toolbox resides outside of the PDMWorks vault.
