2d drawing for cables

Need help on Pro/cabling.

I'm new to Pro/cabling. I learnt to route the cables through pts/vrtx.

My query is

1) how to represent the routed cable in 2d drawing? in 2d drawing it has to look like straight cable.

2) is it possible tostraighten the cable in 3d assy after cable is routed b/w connectors. (b/w connectors cable has been routed in three different planes) if yes, how?

3)can wemeasure the length of routed cable in 2d drawing? if yes, how?

Thanks in advance.

to create a 2d flattened harness you will require the MFG module. It's a bit of work to dicate the process here but...

1. use manufacturing module and the harness radio button picks.
2. choose from the choices given. It will ask you to pick the cable part. I usually place the letter 'h' in front of that part so It is easy to locate it in the selection.
3. use flatten all option after you choose a point to un flatten relative too.
4. assemble your connectors
5. create detail drawing of that new flattened assembly.
