xtop process priority

Hi,

Is there any advantages to change the priority of the xtop process to High?

I've tried whistle loading a large assembly drawing, it seems to be faster but
proe seems to be more prone to crashes, especially when requesting info (RMB
info) or the help.

I'm looking for tips to make the sheet update faster as it take more than 1/2
hour at the moment.

So far I've:

-disable the automatic update in config.pro

-Use simplified rep in different view

I look forward for more idea.

Hi Nicolas,

This might sound crazy but it might be a graphics issue. In the config.pro there is a setting "graphics". Try changing this setting to something else; Note you will have to save the setting and restart ProE to take affect.

Using simplified reps on the drawing isn't very helpful if you load different simp reps in different views, since Pro/E needs to load all the models in all the simp reps in different views into the memory.

 1.
Make sure Master Rep isn't set for any of the views.

Try using Drawing Representation feature, where you can show only individual views (e.g. set drawing configuration with only one view) and thus reduce drawing loading time.

64-bit environment might help.

Better GPU might also help.
