Hi All,
I have a pipe design in IGES format from which i need to
extract data for a CNC bender. I read that IGES supports
3D piping application protocol. I have the following
questions:
1. Are there ways in Pro/Engineer to convert a piping
system geometry into pipe runs ?
2. Given a pipe run is there a standard representation
for centerline data in IGES format?
3. How can i extract centerline data from such an iges
file?
Here is a link on IGES 3D Piping Application protocol:
http://www.iges5x.org/aps/piping/disk03/CH3_PS.ZIP
http://www.iges5x.org/aps/piping/disk02/CH4_PS.ZIP
According to the IGES 3D Piping Application protocol, top
level hierarchy in the piping systems are represented
using the entity type 402.7 / 402.15.
Thanks
