a manual workaround is to have a table off the edge of your assembly drawing with your parameter and rpt_qty listed side-by-side so it is easy to check that they match and if they don't, edit the value directly in the table.
I do this so I can get accurate quantities on my gear and sprocket machining drawings independant of the top-level assemblies.
