exponentiation in relations

Hi all,

We've recently migrated to WF3 and there's one thing I used to know how to do but can't anymore : use exponentiation in relations. Or maybe it's just me who forgot how to do it...

When I type :

D101=D104^2

The relations dialog box replies:
Incompatible Unit assignment for symbol 'D101'.

Do I use the wrong symbol? What are these relations anyway? To me, it seems like raw numbers w/o units.

Thanks Dr Gallup,

I already use these ones, as you can see in the equation in my initial post. What I'd like to understand is why, as soon as I add exponents to the equation, it fails. What units is Pro/E referring to?

D0=D1^2 works for me in WF2 & 3
It's not an angle getting driven past 360 degrees is it?

No, it's a linear dimension. I actually entered the relation in a linear pattern. Quite weird.

And it doesn't apply to every dimensionsince I could (as you did) enter similar equations in other feature and it succeeded.

Anyway. I could work my way out in a less parametric fashion. I'll post my observations if I find anything else.

Thanks.
