I'm pretty much new to both wildfire and Mechanism design

I'm try to simulate a lead screw mechanism ....

I have searched this forum to find a way of doing it and Found tht slot follower connection is the only way of doing it .

I gave it a try and ended with an error "Assembly Failed"

To give u guys an overview of what i have done i'm listing the steps below :

1) I have made a helical curve defining the PITCH of my screw(on the screw part ).

2) i have a block which will follow the helical curve on which i have defined the Follower point.

3) now i have entered into mechanism design and tried to create the slot follower connection.

4) While doing this proe is returning me an error, the picture of which i'm attaching here.

Now cmg to what i want to know is :

1) where am i going wrong in making this connection.

2)Is there anything to be consideredwhile creating the Follower Point.

Hope uguys will get me out of this problem

Regards

sridhar_mothe,

I would define two points to follow the helical curve and set the limits so that the points never reach the end of the curve. There is another way to make this as well. You can make them a gear pair...
