converting assembly as part

Hi Friends,

I have designed a big Assembly with hundred of parts and it is now relatively slow to work with my computer.

Is there any way of making this assembly to convert/save as a part. or something else by the way i can work easily.

i am looking forward to hearing your support.

Not quite sure what you mean, but if all you want to do is place the assembly into another higher level assembly (and try to make it 'smaller' in terms of file size) then try to save it as a shrinkwrap

export the assembly to a STEP file

open that STEP file as a part

I think you don't need to make assembly as part for fast working. You sjould use view manager--->simplified rep


Anyhow if you want to make assembly to become part you open first component and assemble parts to it using merge command and usual assembly constraints.

Remember that he has 100's parts. The chances of errors during re-assembling is very high. I'd avoid that.
