referencing parts config file

I'm trying to reference parts to an assembly. I've done the "config.pro search_path" but where do save the "config.pro"file to? The default dir, the referenced part, or the assembly? Do I have to rename it. or doI keep the "current sessions" name.I've triedsaving it in vaeious directories but it won't stay with the assembly. Ihave to re-enter it every time.

What you're seeing in 'current session' is the config options loaded at present. Look in the source field and you'll see where the settings havebeen read from (ie the location of your config.pro file if you have one). Make sure you apply(save) the changes to your savedconfig.pro.
