Downloading the latest version of Windows Media player solves 95% of all problems.  It is suggested that you do this first before moving on.

Assuming that installing the latest version of Windows Media player didn't work, try these suggestions.  The appropriate CODECs need to be installed. Normally, Windows Media Player automatically downloads them when necessary. However, some IT departments prevent this as a security measure.

MMS or HTTP Protocol?

The MMS:// protocol should be your first choice. It allows you to use the seek bar to fast-forwad and rewind. However, your network administrator may not allow the mms:// protocol. Try the http:// protocol if the mms:// protocol does not work.
