Wrapping text to a multi-contoured surfac

James Cadogan

New member
Good Afternoon,

I am attempting to wrap text onto a skeletal bone - which
by nature is multi-contoured, how do i achieve this? it
seems that the wrap tool can only work with single contours
- like that of a cylinder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best

James

Wrap tool will work with multi contour face also.
select a plane which is parallel to the multi-contoured
face and write the text on it. then wrap tool.

good luck.

James,

This can be done easily using surface modeling. Basically offset the existing surface the height of the text, sketch your text on a datum plane, andextrude your text surface through the offset surface. Trim, knit, and viola!

Are you familiar with the surface modeling techniques required to do this? If not, are you able to share the geometry so we can show you directly?
