Does anyone know if the WF Personal version sold here is dated to only be used a year?

Yes, when the license file is generated by PTC, it has an expiration date of one year. Also, being a Student Edition, you cannot use it for commercial, being paid for, use. All plots are automatically printted with a watermark stating that the plot was created on an SE version. Files created on a SE version cannot be opened in a commercial version and vis-versa.

this is the personal edition, not the student...$100 more.


I did find out that the version sold by ptc does have a year lease, but the journey ed doesn't.. curious if the version here was ptc or journey-ed flavor


I know about the watermark and lack of exchange, not a big deal ..looking more to pick up on WF

The SE in the title stands for Student Edition. They just have 2 prices, one for users who are in scholl and one for people who want to learn it on their own.
