I'm trying to make a fillet weld and the surfaces don't exactly intersect. The weld wont work. I'm using SW2004. Is there a way around this problem or would an upgrade help?
The only work around is to identify the weld on the drawing...Now that I think about it you could physically model the welds as a part just like SW does. You will just create a section that matches the two mating peices.
I don't think there are a lot of people modeling actual welds out there. I find that, while making the model look nice and give you a weight for the amount of weld, they are time consuming to create and slow the performance of the assembly.
