Surface Modeling Work : Enzo Ferrari

mahtab_msa,

First off, really excellent work.

Since you asked for comments I would like to point to a couple areas that are curious in your image. In your model you can tell if this is just a visual issue or if there is actually something worth addressing. They seem to be some surface ripples or discontinuity? I could be seeing nothing and if so never mind my inquiry...

in any case I would really like to see the whole car when you are finished since you obviously know how to handle yourself with pro-e

cheers,

M

will help if you put in a higher resolution image in your reflection too. That way you can scrutinize yourself better.

1st step is to get the basic form.
2nd is the hard part. Get all the light reflections to smooth like you want < this is harder in Pro/E
3rd is to ensure you built everything as light (geometry wise) as possible. < this is the hard part in Pro/E

Brat: I think you are talking about making an accurate or smooth surface.
Well you are right. Making a perfect smooth surface without ripples etc is difficult.
I started with just joining surfaces without paying much attention to small ripples. But then tried to create better surfaces when magneplanar pointed out defects. It still have a lot of things which I want to improve. Will try to do it (may be after graduation

BTW i sent you a pm about password for tutorials on you site proetools.com
can you tell me the new password and username, as sushiwabi and student dont seem to be working anymore.

since I started uploading hi-resolution videos design engine powers at large have asked me to quit giving out the login and password. The videos and HTML are for past students.... That login and password was available for 7+ years tho so don't hate me.

Bart, thats a shame about the unability to give us privelages anymore... I used to visit your site frequently to see what your upto and, if nothing more, gain some motivation.

I think I still have your model of a hummer

Maybe I am going a little over board with the youtube videos since the video gets crushed so hard. here is my overview of this project for an Indy race team... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bmfr6rZ_2fo

I think these things use HONDA engines tho. No cool G2 stuff here ... and the model is not really that cool end the end. I think its funny because some of the resellers out yaner way use stock photography of Indy IRL cars on their websites. We mocked ourselves up one.
