Solid Works Pack and Go

Hey guys. I am working on my senior design project, and the
company has given us some models in for form of a
solidworks assembly. I was curious as to if there was a way
to convert all of these files to a ProE file (we dont have
access to solidworks on our campus). I know you can do a
save as to part files, but then you lose all of the
assembly - part file - drawing file relationships it
seems.Is there a way to do something like a pack and go
where all of the files are converted?

Within SW you can save-as a STEP file and Pro/E should re-
import it as an assembly of parts.

You can try to open the SW assy directly, Pro/E has had the
capability since WF5, I believe. It can even be
associative, so that the Pro/E updates when the SW changes.

as far as I know it is possible if you`re are happy user of both systems on same machine.

There is even plug in to download, however - as I said, not working without SW instaled - ha, ha, ha

Really? Maybe in Creo you can without a SW seat.

I've got both so I wasn't aware of the limitation.

Creo 2.0 should be able to open solidworks files without
the need for solidworks to be installed on the machine.

When I invoke File > Open, in Creo2, the extensions for SolidWorks parts is not one that is available. You can save as Proe from SolidWorks though.
