snapping between planes

How can i snap to a feature in a plane X, while sketching in the plane Y?

The problem is that i have a spline in the plane X that has to be connected exactly to a given point in the plane Y.

Thanks

Assuming that the curve vertex lies on both the X & Y plane...

sketch > references > select the vertex of the curve...

The you will be able to snap on to it.
