slow drawing processes

Hi
We stared with WF2 at the beginning of this year. (M130)<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
Previously we used PROE2001.
We have lots of big asm drawings we made in PROE2001 and now when we
Work on them in WF2 a simple dimension deleting or moving process take us 10-20 min!!!
However PROE2001 could handle these drawings with normal speed.
Now when we e.g. delete one dimension, the proc. Usage goes up to 100% and the process takes 10-20 min for all our users.

Is it

It works at lightning speed with us. We use M160 which is good build.

Creating drawings is so easy in WF 2.0

ptc has worked hard to make things simple and quick.

Thanks.

But these drawings are older. We made them with PRO2001 and now with WF2 we only modify them.

Preselection is switched off in WF2 to increase the speed
Opengl is used

I tried with a simpl. rep. when I hidden all the views except one
but when I marked a note or a dimension on it the delete process was still running
for minutes (a bit faster this way) while the xtop.exe uses 1GB memory.

We where having the same issues. But in November we upped to
build M160 and the problem went away. I don't remember what build we
had before.

try updating video drivers... Pro/E slows way down on XP and nVidia Quadro cards after XP SP2 is installed...

I think we are using driver version 71.84.

I simply opened the drawing with the function :No drawing views rep.
and then I resumed only one view to work on it.

Hi

Thanks for your kind help.

The WF2 built M171 is pretty good. No delay when working even on complex

drawings. It solved the speed problem.

I updated the NVIDIA driver to 71.84 as well.
