View attachment 1932View attachment 1933Hey everyone

I have a part, kind of like a pare of pliers. It has handles and opens and closes. Just like pliers.

What I need to do: in my drawing i need a view of it in the open position and a view of it in the closed position. see attached pictures.

I tryed Broken views, which just leave it kind of messy.Exploded viewswon't let you rotate. Im going to look into mechanism now.

I know there has to be a solution, If any one can help?

Im on Wild Fire 2.0

thanks

Nick

Yep you are on the right trail. Mechanism>Snapshot. The other way I do it

sometimes is using table. Hope it helps

I would use a family table. Create an instance with the pliers in the opposite state of the generic and you can add it to the drawing no problem.

An assembly family table is DEFINITELY the way to go. Add the dimension
that controls the opening angle and you can create as many instances as
you like showing varying stages of openness.
