shifter shaft moviment

Hello guys


Does anyone know how to simulate the moviment of a shifter. I have thought of doing some kind of spherical base then usingBALL connection. or maybe use the curves of the figure attached and make it follow using SLOT connection.


To be honest, I dont have a clue!!


Can anyone help here?

By shifter do you mean an adjustable apanner?

Im sorry. My mistake.


by shifter I mean the gearstick or gear lever ofa manual transmission.


The figure shows its range of motion, where te numbers represent the gears, and the central line, the selection motion. I have been trying to figure which connection would simulate this motion. Maybe a Slot. dont know.
