saving as IGES

Hi all
I have an assembly (3 components).
When I save it as IGES, in the Export IGES window dialog box I'm select "All Parts" in File Structure.
When I iopen the exported assembly, Pro/ENGINEER asks me to open it as parte or assembly.
Even I choose part or assembly, the exported assembly is empty and no component are seen.
Why?

Because you used "All Parts". Use "Flat" to get the behavior you are expecting.


There is an explanation in Help: Data Exchange-> ... -> File Structure for Exporting Assemblies to IGES. Beyond that I can only suggest doing a little experimenting to get an idea of what File Structure options will do.
