Repeat regions

I have not found an answear how to solve my problem..

Today we are using the parameter "X" as articlenumber in the BOM. Now we like to use anotherone "Y". My problem is that I don't wants to migrate all legecy data with the new parameter so is there some way to: Display parameter "X" and if "Y" is excisting use this parameter instead..

I don't have PRO_E at the moment but try to use something like this:


if exists("asm_mbr_y")
asm_mbr_x=asm_mbr_y


else
asm_mbr_x=asm_mbr_x
endif


but I'm afraid it will not work, you will need to do something like in this thread:

to create an intermediary parameter and call that parameter in BOM like rpt_rel_param
