Quarter and half section in assembly

New member
Hi,

I have an assembly which consist of 2 sub-assemblies. I've been told to make a drawing of this assembly and show on view one sub-assembly as a half section and the other one as quarter section. Does anyone one know how to do that?

thanks

You need to include the two sub assemblies, Activate them
one by one, Insert their views and create sectional views.
e.g. Let us say the Assembly a consists of sub assemblies
SA1 ans SA2.
While in Drawing...
Files --> properties -->Drawing Models --> Add...{add
SA1 and SA2
}.
Drawing Models --> Set --> SA1 {This sets SA1 as the
Current
model}
Insert Views of SA1 and create section views.
Repeat for SA2.

Thanks for advise. I had to do this view for presentation purpose, so I have literally made a half section on SA1 and quarter section on SA2. Then I put them into assembly and shown isometric view. I know that's not a proper way to do that, but it very urgent.
However I'm going to check the way you suggested.

thanks
