New to the forums. I have a baffling situation with my CAD Admin. He claims that in order for a proper promotion request to go through PDMLink, and then our publish monitor, any new drawing needs to be at rev 1.2 or later. He says "there is a glitch with publish monitor." Does this make any sense? I cannot imagine there is not a workaround and/or he is mis-informed. Every new drawing/model I create, I need to checkin model/drawing, checkout, open model/drawing, make a fake change, check back in and then promote. This is SO tedious. Please tell me there is something I can do.
