Problems with "Pairs clearance" in WF3

Hi All,
I want to check interference between two plastic parts in
an assembly using "pairs clearance"
When I open the dialogue box i notice that there are no
drop down panels in the FROM of TO boxes. I thought given
some thing I had read that I should be able to choose
between PART, SURFACE, CABLE and so on?
In any case (using smart select) I was able to choose one
part and a surface of the other with which I know there
is interference. Pairs clearance however reports Zero
clearance. I the tried to select the same part and the
other part rather than just its surface. Again proe
reported zero clearance but did report a volume
interference and highlighted the correct area of
interference.

Can anybody explain whats going on here? I would have
expected proe to report a negative clearance or does it
not wotk this way?

Any help appreciated.

regards
Padraig.

if you select the 2 parts first, then do the pairs clearence, it will give you the volume interference.

Thanks for the reply Gary, however the problem is not the
volume interference, that is reported correctly.
I want the dimensional interference and ideally between one
part and the surface of another part.

I dont even know if this is possible as of course this in
most cases will not be just one fixed dimension but with
part and surface, i don't even see the volume interference.
