Perspective view in drawing

sip

New member
I guess I was in the wrong forum, I'll repost here:

Hi All,

I am trying to put a perspective view in my drawing. I set a specific view and named it in my model.

In the drawing I insert the view, and change the view properties so it calls this view. It appllies the view, but it changesto isometric. Back in the model I see that the model reoriented itself to isometric. I can set the view to be perspective again, and it calls it back fine.

I then tried to lock it in place with view manager combined state. That gives the same result. Back in the model it also reorients to isometric.

Has anyone been able to make this work?

I hopeI am clear.

TIA

I tried to check your problem about perspective view.

Following is the procedure to do that,

insert a general view in your drawing, right click and select view properties,

in catogories, select scalenow clickperspective &set eye point distance say 10

and view diameter say 100, now click apply.

Also set the view you need.

Now you get the perspective view you need in the drawing.

Hi,

I have been having a similar problem so thanks for the tips!!

I can get it to work with hidden line display types, but not with the shaded display, which is when i normally really want the perspective!, any ideas? or is this another "undocumented" Pro E feature lol

Thanks in advance,

Marty
