Passing the value of the COG

My coworker has a massive assembly that I want to open to find its COG and weight. My computer is limited - it can't open due to memory I guess. So I ask him to create a dependent shrinkwrap (.prt) of the assembly and carry over the COG. And use the COG to create a high density feature in the shrinkwrap to simulate the weight of the assembly. We can't think of a way to set that up. Anyone is up for a challenge? I'd appreciate your time for reading this question. Certainly I can clarify as we brainstorm a methodology.

Can you open up the geometry rep of the assembly and then
do an analysis to find the COG and weight?

Do all of the parts have the appropriate density so the
weight is accurate?

can you open an on demand rep with, sub-sections of the
assembly, and make a composite COG with your measurements
of each sub section?
