anyone know about parasolid. Does PTC support that. I have a costomer who asked and I blanked. They are doing a flow mold analysis. .x_t is the file extension and the software is magma.

thanks in advance.

ok... Not in WF1.0 I found it in new versions. What is the difference between a solid and shell w/ respect to Parasolids?

Parasolid is the solid modeling kernel used by Unigraphics, SolidWorks, SolidEdge and other programs. It is the equivelant to Granite One, PTC's kernel, but has more users. A solid is just what it sounds like. A shell is a surface. Multiple shells can be trimmed to make the display look like a solid, but there is no mass to the object.
