hai all,

i want how t ocreate ordinatre with refers of base line. iam trying to INSERT<DIMENSIONS<ORDINATE but base line taking is not taken why

create a "normal" dimension (not ordinate) then right click on the dimension and choosetoggle ordinate/linearand click on the line where you want to be 0.00. The dimension will be switched to ordinate.

Then go to insert/dimensions/ordinate. It will ask you for the baseline and you willclick on the 0.00 dimension and now you put a dimension.

ANOTHER METHOD...

INSERT > DIMENSIONS > AUTOORDINATE...

IMP.....

LOOK AT WHAT PROE IS SAYING (PROMPT)AT THE LEFT BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN.... AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS....

the text in ordinate dimensions is moving only in the direction of the dimension line.

If you need to move the text side to side, create a jog:

click on the ordinate dimension to select it, then move your mouse over the dimension line and right click, in the menu that apear chooseinsert jog, then click on the dimension line and movethe mouse to side and click once, then click on the middle button to release the dimension.
