One way bearing in mechanism?

Is it possible to make a pin joint which only can spin in one direction? Using motors you can make it look like a one way bearing is used but I'd like it to work that way when moving parts manually. Is there a way to do it?

m-d-e,

Create a force motor that is dependent on the rotational direction of the pin joint. This way when it rotates "backward", it will encounter a torque that will resist the motion in the undesired direction. The torque can be set to the limit the clutch bearing can handle to make it more realistic. The trick is to recall that force motors can be made up of equations that use other measures to define them. They can also be active WRT a domain variable (pin joint velocity).

Cheers,
