Offset sketch dimensions

If you select the line, under the LINE PROPERTIES you will see an EXISTING RELATION "Offset". Delete this relation, then get the dimension.

Sorry my description probably isn't accurate enough, when creating an extruded cut or protrusion you can offset the sketch to start the feature from that plane. If I do this I can't get the dimension into the drawing,


A work round is to create a plane and do the sketch on there and then import the dimension from this but I wanted to be neat and keep the feature count down.
 
You can create a sketch with lines to control start and end of each feature then you'd have one sketch to control Start points or Direction 1 Direction2 values.
