Hello,

I am using WF2. Please help me to understand how I can change object line thickness. on print.
Default line set up, is to heavy for me and I would like to see printed
thiner object lines. What kind of the numbers should I expect in
reference to the line thickness ??

My printer is typical HP printer with 11 x 17 paper format. My experirnce in tis area is none.

Thank you for help

You can adjust your line width within the config.pro file.

Search for pen1_line_weight and make your adjustments. I also have line weight adjustments on pen2 and pen3.

Hope this helps

Thank you for both, for valuable input.

Suggestion from dmt63 is easy to implement and it is working for me.

"pen table file" seems to me more challenging and I will explore this way in future.

Have a question. what colors are assigned to the pen number by default?

I assumed #1 correspondes to white, what is color allocation to other pens?

Thank you,

Here is the content of one of my pen table files. The color names come from about 1994 when I worked this all out but it seems to keep on working.

!Pro/E geometry lines are white on the screen, plot with broad pen #2 (0.50mm)
!
pen 2 thickness .05 cm; drawing_color attention_color
!
!Everything else plots with fine pen #1 (0.25mm), if a pen is MISSING the HP DM
!defaults to pen #1!!!
!
pen 1 thickness .025 cm; half_tone_color
pen 3 thickness .025 cm; dimmed_color
pen 4 thickness .025 cm; edge_highlite_color
pen 5 thickness .025 cm; letter_color
pen 6 thickness .025 cm; highlite_color
pen 7 thickness .025 cm; magenta_color
pen 8 thickness .025 cm; section_color

This may or may not help out. If you look under the Help in the Fundamentals Functional Area and the Fundamentals Module, you can go to the Index and look up plotter to get the default pen mapping table. You can also select an entity (text or drawn entity)in the drawing and edit them (right click>properties for textor line style for drawn entities). Select the color box and position your cursor over a color in the System Colors section and it will tell you which pen it is assigned to. User defined colors are mapped to pen 1.
