New User - Windchill ProductPoint

Hello all,

I am responsible to install ProductPoint on our company.

We will start testing it on one computer first and then we will gradually propagate its use to everyone.

So, my question is quite simple:
Where do I start?

I have absolutely no experience with any of the data management softwares from PTC or any other vendor, and I find myself without knowing where to start.

Any help/tutorials/demos, etc. that could help me setup ProductPoint would be greatly appreciated.

Don't you have a PTC VAR in your neighbourhood?

If you have access to the PTC site you can find some nice
tutorials...

I would recommend to start with not undersizing your
hardware...

How many CAD users will be working with ProductPoint? This is important to size the ProductPoint server.

For the time being only one, but we will propagate its use to another 2/3 ProE seats.

From whom did you by your license?
What's the problem in not getting support from your reseller?
In the place where you are located are there any PTC reseller that can help you?

Another interesting question:
Why did you decided for ProductPoint and not for another application in the marketplace?
