unfortunately I do not have any valid real size info. I based my own model on size assumptions.

Sorry, got interrupted and didn't get to finish my post.

I mean a Ford Focus is not as classy as the Mustang. Wasn't criticising your model...the model as always is excellent.

Is that a Mark 1 Focus wing mirror?

maybe is not so classy but, mentioned Mark 1 has much more intresting and demanding surfaces than Mustang. Take a look at interior, they did it 90-ties!

In general car modeling is hard task to be done. First, one has to answer himself what quality and detailing is expected? If low, then You go through with conic arcs and "steped" curvature and the work is done in couple of days. In addition all not important parts like detailed mirror or interior are left simplified.

Making accurate car body within 3deg Pro/e spline tool is not an easy task

specilay if You consider such "curv" body as seat leon has

That's better now....the Seat Leon. I have a Mark 1 Seat Leon petrol FR. Personally I think it's nice looking and more stylish than the mark 2 version you have shown here but I still like it a lot.

I would love to have some time to try and model parts of a car but right now I don't have time. There is so much ProE work to do here but I am struggling to get the time even to do that

regarding this challange as usual major problems where encountered with curves and 5nd surfaces

it is Boundary Blend indeed

there is only one step left not introduced before - solving 5nd surface conditions, which finaly is shown on picture below

Hi

How about uploading the model would like to see how this is constructed. I never use surfaces and would like to start.

Thanks

Geoff

Next step...

Divide into two parts and add hinge and spring mechanism!

Good job. I envy those who have time to learn stuff this way.

I might start staying late to learn some surfacing.

well, if you are up to decide : go with friends/family out and have fun vs digging surfacing, do first

.

but, if You are left with couple of minutes/hours awaiting for decision regarding Your project or whatever, take anything that catches Your attention and give it a shot.

I catched myself thinking to often about surfacing. This is very addictive...
