Meshing in Mechanica!

Hi,

Does anybody know meshing in Mechanica? Actually I am trying to create 8 nodes or 20 nodes element but donno how to do that? Can anyone tell me?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Chakkarabani Selvam.

Using linear or cubic elements is part of the h-method; Mechanica uses the p-method, were the software escalates the element's interpolation function (up to a 9th order polynomial) based on the quality of the gradient and convergence requirements. Generally speaking, the default mesh created in Mechanica should be good enough for a basic linear-static analysis. Further mesh refinement (increasing mesh density in local areas, excluding elements near singularities, etc.) can be applied in the analysis type/convergence quality of the results warrant it.

Dear Selvam,
Mechanica uses only tri and quad base meshing .Typically if you want 10/20 noded analysis element you need to use exclusive CAE pkgs Like ANSYS/NASTRAN/ALTAIR PRODUCTS etc.Where you have dedicated Post processor and you can have high level multiphysics domain solutions.
