making concave rounds

New member
When I use the round feature and select an edge it
automatically puts a convex round. Is there a way I can put
a concave round(that is remove material using the round
tool)
?

If you select an outside edge (like any of the 12 edges of a cube) it will make a convex round that removes material. If you select inside edges it will make a concave round that adds material. I can not picture a concave round that removes material. Are you trying to make an undercut? I think you will have to use a different tool if want something beyond the two default conditions.

in solids there is no way to control "direction" of rounds, pro/e does it automaticaly.

such funcionality is reserved/available only for surfaces

tranand3 - dr_g did not say inside edge of a cube. He was talking about any solid with an inside edge. You can have an inside edge if your cube is hollow (shelled).
