Knitting!

Dear All,

I'm a pro when it comes to solid models but surface messes with my head! Can anyone inform me of how to knit two pieces of suface sweep/extrude/etc together? I simply receive the classic "failed to knit".

Loosing my hair.

Depends what surfaces you are knitting together but they need to make sure that they are touching each other.

A lot of the time I would over extend the surfaces so that they cross and then use each to cut the other back so I have a definite join line. After that I would then knit the surfaces together.

Do you have a picture of what you are trying to do or an explanation.

Many thanks I checked the surfaces and 1 was not in contact thus stopping the knit.

I'm such a fool. Obvious really.

Many thanks again.

Try and get to grips with surface modeling. It will transform the way you model and how you think about making your models. Glad you got it sorted.
