Inserting Autocad in Drawing

ROREAR

New member
OK folks, I have inserted/shareddata/file a .dxf file from Autocad however, I'm having difficulties in moving it to another location on the drawing. Help, with possible x,y coordinates. thanks..

If I understand correctly your problem, then those are solutions to you:
In any way you must select whole view (those inserted from AutoCad), with all lines, centerlines dimensions etc. Then you have 2 options
One is to right click and have option Move special there you can specify x, y coordinates.
Other one option is to make cut and paste, with picking point (Pick Pnt)where to start, and then select Abs Coords to paste it to desired location.

Hope it helps

Folks,

Thank you for advise, with both suggestions especially the "groug" command made my day. Every time I went too move the schematic only a line would move not the entire dwg. Merry Christmas!
