Helix following flex pipe path?

I need to model a helical spring that covers a flexible pipe path. I have a fixed length flexible pipe path that has a spring covering on it. Like to show it accurately if it's a reasonable procedure.


The spring adds stiffness and physical protection for the pipe which is actually how Imodel el;ectricalcables. My design has mechanism motion but I don't need to show.

good article here too..create a twisting surface , the use outer edge for the sweep


.. set up parameters beforehand... then use them in your sketch rel.
