Exporting Datum Points

Is it possible to export datum points to a points file (.pts) in cartesian coords? I am using wildfire 4.0 university edition? Any help would be appreciated.

figured it out on my own...

1) save part as .igs with only datum curves and points checked

2) change extension on .igs to .pts

3) open new part >insert>model datum>point>offset coordinate system

4) click on existing part coord. system

5)click import

6) find .pts file

7) while still in offset coordinate system window click save
