+/- Does Not Display

I am making a techinical drawing and in the drawing file my
dimensions show as +/- (the symmetric type of tolerance)
but when I convert it to a pdf the +/- turns into a #. I am
not sure if this is an issue with Pro-E or with adobe
reader.

Hi,
and which version of Proe / Creo do you have? And is this
problem only with +/- symbol or also with others? And do
you insert these symbols form pallete or from character
map of ttf font? (if you use some ttf font)?
And does the problem occur in all dimensions? (in some
week version this problem occured onlny in case of
dimensions oriented vertically).

We had problems with this issue and in every week version
of Proe the behaviour was different. Now we still use
Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 M140 and we have no problems with
these symbols.
The only problem we are solving are extended characters
from ttf font (e.g. greek letters etc.).

Stroking all fonts is solution, but the file is huge and
viewing pdf (zooming, moving etc.) is very slow. Therefore
it's good to find suitable solution without stroking fonts.

The only good way to make PDF from Pro/E files remains the original solution that has worked since the beginning of PDF's: Print to a postscript printer .ps file and convert it to PDF. Resistance is futile.
