dimensioning?

how do i dimension with the menu manager. when i select the dimension option, i am prompted to select the entities i would like to deimension and their references (if any). they get highlighted after selection and no dimension appears, instead the message box for select items stays!

After selecting the references you need to select the middle mouse button to place the dimension. Take a look at the HELP under Part Modeling and select Sketcher.
