Dim table help

I am a N00B so put up with me a little bit. What I have been asked to do is the following. Take dimension and tolerances from a part or drawing and create process control documents for production (inspection sheets). Right now all the documents (excel) are independent of ProE WF3. Also this is for approximately 3000 parts very few of which are in families.

Sounds simple enough, create a format containing atable with dimensions, tolerances and a comment like the depth or location symbols. Then, I presume, use Analysis -Excel to plug these parameters/features straight into excel and save. Or even if there is a way to do this w/o creating a table, I don't know.

I've tried creating dim tables but they don't work well.

First cell "&d29" .. works fine at first but after regen it's gone. What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?
