Hello all,


l have some generall problem, like usually

How could l change CONFIG.PRO and WINfiles thatare upload just after start ProE? l think, that default way for config.pro is D:/ProE/text/config.pro it

Pro/E looks for config files in the following order:

1. <install directory>/text (which is evidently D:/ProE/text/ for you)
2. User's 'home' directory (as specified by Windows environment variable)
3. Start up directory (as specified in the 'properties' dialog box of the shortcut used to launch Pro/E)

Place your config.win file in any of these folders and it will load automatically. If Pro/E finds more than one, it will load them all, adding later files to the first ones. For Config.win, it's usually best to only have one.

#3 is usually the easiest. You can find out where that is or change it by right clicking the icon for Pro/E adn selecting 'Properties'. The 'Start In' field is your start up directory.

l have new installed ProE so l will do it like this example:


1. <install directory>/text/config.pro - no change


2. User's 'home' directory - no change - l

#2 is defined by Windows as an environment variable. You'd need to change that in windows if you'd like. Changing this may effect how other things aside from pro/E work so I wouldn't mess with it. It is not necessarily your working directory, but may be.

That setting for #3 should work fine. Change that in your icon properties adn place your config files there and they will load automatically.
