customised balloon issue

I want touse customised balloons in my drawings. When i try to set this up through table>BOM balloons>change type>custom>retrieve and click on the symbol required i get the following message:


"Symbols for BOM balloons must not contain groups"


Any work around for this. I cannot use any other symbol than this customised one.
