Changing Dimension Display Mode

reg2117

Forum Members,
Can someone suggest a method for changing the
displayed mode of a referenced dimension inside a
drawing note?
I have a part that appears to have been created with
tol_mode set to limits. When I reference a feature
dimension in a drawing, it appears in the limits mode
regardless of how tol_mode is currently set.
Please see attached pics for a specific example. The
feature of the part is shown (note the dimension mode in
the part module appears to be limits). In the drawing, I
reference the dimensions using using &d82 and &d84. I
have included a shot of the drawing as it appears and a
shot of the references dimensions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Reg.

Try setting the dimension mode for that dimension to Nominal.

Then regenerate the Model (CTRL-G) and the Draft Edit/Regenerate/Draft

Then, make sure you update your drawing View/Update/All sheets.

If that doesn't work, save the drawing and part, then re-open them.

Note: You seem to have your C/Bore diameter and Depth the wrong way round in your hole note.

Cheers,

Dave

Dave,
Thanks for the reply. Setting the properties of the
dimension in the part module did the trick.
For those that get caught with a similar problem, dimension properties in the part module can be changed as
follows (if someone want to weigh in with a method with
fewer steps, it would be appreciated)
1. Right click on the feature
2. Edit
3. Left click on the dimension to change
4. Right click the highlighted dimension
5. Select Properties
6. Edit properties for display in drawing module

If you dont want to open the part, you could show the dimension separately in the drawing and double click it (ProE allows you to show dimensions separatelyeven though theyare included in notes elsewhere).
