calc sq/in of a sheetmetal flat

Good Afternoon


We are using wildfire 2.0 code m250. Does anyone know a easy way to calc the sq/in of a sheet metal flat. We currently pick every section of the flat and than add then together using a calculator. Is there a easier way? Does anyone know if wildfire 3.0 work differant than 2.0 when calc area of a sheet metal flat.

Do a mass properties of the part in the flat state. Divide the volume by the thickness and you have the thickness of the stamped part.

You might also want to try "measure" "area" "whole part" set your view to the surface area you want to measure and the projection to view plane and compute. Checkthe math of course.
