Assembly analysis and material assignemen

Hello all

I'm not quite new into Pro/Mechanica but until recently I did only
single part analysis. Right now I have to perform stuctural analysis to
an assembly. The assembly itsef is quite simple one. It consist from
two parts, which are made from different materials with quite different
properties. I can assign desired material to each part part while in
Pro/Mechanica (Integrated mode), but when I intent to start the
analysis it claims that there is no material assigned and stops.

Now I'm wondering, where I'm doig something wrong? Should I assign the
material while modelling parts in Pro/E? How can I do this in
Pro/Mechanica?

I'm using Wildfire2 and Pro/Mechanica in integrated mode.

Thanks

Kind regards

You do not need to assign materials in Pro/e, just in Mech is OK. May be there's something missed in the proccess you perform. Try again!

Click Properties>>materials then choose materials in Library, then double-click orclickon "triple arrows button"to add into model. Then you must assign that materials into each part on the asm, click assign>> part

that's all

Thanks ndk

It was my mistake (as I presumed it). I have forgotten to remove skeleton from analysis simplified representation. After doing this the analysis run just fine
