check in drawing formats

When I save a model and drawing into the workspace it auto puts in the
drawing format file in the workspace as well. The problem that I have
is if the drawing format is already checkin even in a different folder
it will not let me checkin my new drawing CAD document. If Projectlink
has a problem with load a drawing format twice then why does it
automaticly puts it in my workspace every time? Anybody know a way to
correct this?

Drawing formats should be in a folder that you only have read access to. That way the software will know that you cannot check them in.

You can also hilight the format file in Workspace and select file...update.
Intalink will replace the "new" file with an unmodified version from Commonspace.

Copying formats

I am having a similar problem. But mine keeps making a copy of the drawing format so when I go to check in my drawing it won't let me because it is grabbing the new format it created which has the same name as the one already in the system.

I have no idea how to get it to stop doing this. I click new->drawing->name it->ok
and it keeps happening what am I doing wrong??
