Weird Rate

Good day

I encountered a weird problem in the Dynamic analysis about the Rate:

1. I set the omega (w)=1deg/sec

2.I set the duration =360 sec, which I could control the servo motor
to spin one turn, also easily control the turns by multiply 360 with
integer.

3.I set Duration =1080 (3 turns) and Rate =10 , I get result as Pic 1

However, when I set Duration =1080 Rate=1, I get result as Pic 2

Pic 2 shows that the slender finally stop swinging after abouttwo andhalfturns.

Actually, from the animation of Pro/e, when setting the Durationto
give more thanthree turns according tothe omegaand Rate smaller than
10, the slenderaccelerated the velocity of swing by reducing the
amplitude, thenstopped swingingand became still. I tried serveral
times to verify that condition.I did not put any spring and damper as friction.View attachment 1289View attachment 1290

Why it comes to difference by setting different Rate? I guess the
Rate is just for getting a good animation not affecting the results.
But it turns out that changing the Rate is the way to change the swing
velocity of the slender.

Anyone could help me with that? much appreciated
