3D Sketch Feature that should exist......

I have two lines in 3D sketch mode.


The direction of one is fixed, and the two endpoints are fixed in space. I wish there was a way to tell the Solidworks to figure out the minimum lengths required to connect both lines.





Does this exist? Is therean equation I can enter?The only thing I can think of is the Quadratic Equation, but that doesnt help me 3-Dimensionally, nor does it help me figure out minimum length......

I'm not sure I understand correctly your problem. You are looking for a line which connect yours lines ? If yes, I think that that line must be perpendicular to both initial lines. Maybe I wrong.
